Ottilie Sophie Beiderbecke (1866-1944) var datter af Charles (Carl) Biederbecke, født 20. juli 1836 i Westphalen i Tyskland.og død den 20. oktober 1901 i Davenport, og hustru Louise Pieper født 18. juni 1840 og død 27. oktober 1922.


Ottilie havde 3 søskende:


Carl Thomas Beiderbecke (1865-1933) gift med Adele Seiffert (1873-1967).


Bismark Herman Beiderbecke (1868-1940) gift med Agate Jane Hilton (1870-1952), som var forældre til den berømte jazztrompetist Leon Bismark (Bix) Beiderbecke (1903-1932).


Lutie Beiderbecke (1870-1955) gift med Max Moritz Carl Wilhelm von Binzer (1858-1919).

September 21, 1888, ORANGE BLOSSOMS

The Marriage of Otillie S. Beiderbecke, daughter of well known merchant, Charles Beiderbecke, and Albert F. Stibolt, civil engineer, occurred at 8 o'clock last evening. The handsome and spacious mansion was beautifully adorned and illuminated for the occasion, and large number of friends of the family and of the groom gathered therein. With the betroth at the nuptial alter were Miss Clara Krause, Miss Thekia Speidel, Carl Beiderbecke and Bismarck Beiderbecke as attendants. The Rev. A. M. Judy officiated. Bride and groom were born and reared in Davenport and the friendship which led to love and betrothal commenced in early childhood. Mr. and Mrs. Stibolt go to St. Paul and vicinity for a bridal trip. On their return they go into their own house opposite the bride's parental home.

The death of Albert J. Stibolt, one of Davenport's most respected citizens, occurred at his home, 532 West Seventh street, at 2:30 o'clock Saturday morning. Mr. Stibolt was operated upon one year ago and seemed never to recovered.

Mr. Stibolt had been connected with the United States Engineers, Rock Island for almost 30 years. He was born Nov. 6, 1857, at Galena, Ill., in the other half of the house occupied by General Ulysses S. Grant. He came to Davenport at a very early age and received his education here. On Sept., 20, 1888, he was married to Miss Ottilie Beiderbecke, by the Rev. Arthur A. Judy, of the Unitarian church. He was especially loved by all the younger children who knew him.

The survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ottilie, one daughter, Mrs. Leon H. Hass, of Davenport, and two sons, Carl B. and Victor A. Stibolt. two sisters also survive. They are Mrs. Olga Marten, of Minneapolis and Mrs. Emily Hoffman, of Davenport. Mr. Stibolt was the son of J.P. Stibolt, of Galena, Ill., who came to this county from Denmark, and who was the editor of Der Demokrat during the Civil War.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock from the home, 532 West Seventh street. Services at the home and the grave in Oakdale cemetery will be private.

Obituary: Mrs. Ottilie B. Stibolt, 77, life resident of Davenport, died at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Hass, 129 Ridgewood avenue, following an extended illness.

She was born Oct. 25, 1866, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Beiderbecke; received her education in local schools and later married Albert J. Stibolt in 1888.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs Leon Hass, and son Carl Stibolt, Saratoga, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. L. Von Binzer, Los Angeles, Calif.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her husband and two brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Hill & Fredericks chapel. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery.
